Project description

The subject of the project is the development of a new series of devices and software for the mechanized support control system enabling cooperation with the automatic control system of the longwall complex, and the creation of a test installation verifying the operation of the system in real conditions. The modernizations introduced in the devices will ensure: • significant acceleration of data transmission between the system devices and to and from the central system, enabling the implementation of fast data acquisition and control, • increased computational capabilities of individual system components, • significant reduction of energy consumption, allowing for powering a larger number of powered support section equipment from a single intrinsically safe power supply module, • reduced production costs by reducing the dimensions of control and executive devices, simplifying the design of executive devices, and making device housings from plastic, • simplified installation, service and dismantling of the system in a powered support by using, among others, contactless energy transfer from the mine power grid to the electronic equipment of the section, • increased flexibility and configuration possibilities of the system in terms of the number and type of sensors installed in the section by using a digital interface, • enabling spatial visualization of the position of the powered support in the excavation and its individual elements, along with full determination of the section geometry based on measurements from sensors, • the possibility of configuring control algorithms and parameterization of the powered support operation functions in accordance with safety requirements, the type of section used and the user's requirements directly in the longwall
